How To Say Apple in Korean
|Apple in Korean
In yesterday’s KWotD, we looked at the Korean word for ‘bag’ so if you missed that one, be sure to check it out unless you already know the word! Today we go for a trip to the fruit market and learn how to say ‘apple’ in Korean and for this, we use the word:
sa-gwa
(in Hangul: 사과)
This word can also represent the word for ‘apology‘ so keep that in mind and remember that context is always important in Korean.
Examples
Ex. 1
사과를 먹다.
[sa-kwa-reul meok-da]
=To eat an apple (dictionary form).
Ex. 2
사과를 깎다.
[sa-gwa-reul ggakk-da].
= To peel an apple (dictionary form).

As usual we reocmmend that you learn hangul if you are serious about learning Korean if you haven’t already done so. It is much easier than you probably think and, believe it or not, it will only take you a few days to be able to read the entire alphabet. So what are you waiting for?
